Rants about keyboard settings

Quick one, promise.

Why the holy fuck can't the US and the UK standardise a keyboard set up so that I don't keep hitting the quote marks and getting an @ symbol? Eh? On campus, the @ symbol is just to the left of the return key, but my computer has quote marks there. And the @ symbol is up on the number keys, in the proper place. Fucking tedious typing one of them and getting the other.

Also, why the fuck did Apple ever make keyboards that were abbreviated? I need a full 105 keys, because the f-keys are useful, and I need a delete-forwards button.
